This piece began with an abstract vision of kayaks drifting and colliding—each shape layered with thick-bodied acrylics and highlighted in oil for depth and contrast. I build texture with brush and knife, letting the movement of water and form guide the composition. Finished with three coats of high-gloss varnish, the final work captures the fluid energy of the scene, sealed in a luminous shine.
